Instead of focusing on our vision and achieving our goals, we're steamrollered by our calendars and our to-do lists. First, you make a conscious decision to invest the time and energy it takes to develop a plan. Like financial planning, those who plan today are more likely to achieve their goals than those who keep doing what they're doing and hope for the best (one accountant we know calls this "millionaire by miracle.") Instead of waiting for a miracle, you powerfully choose to chart your own course and commit to the resources to make that happen. I'll share my strategic planning model with you, and once you've all signed off on the process, we begin our work. First, we may need to do a business analysis to establish where you are today. Then we document all the resources you already have available to you and your business. Finally, we begin to craft the written plan that will be your guide for the next three to five years, a plan that is, by definition, always a work in progress. I'm available as your coach to help you implement and monitor the plan, staying on track with your commitments and adjusting your expectations as you go.
